There's nothing like hustlin'/crowbarring a group of friends together for a workout. Training solo can sometimes get a little dry, and pulling together a homie or 2 for a group training session isn't just fun as heck, but can push you harder, as your amigos spur you on that extra bit.
Here's a super fun and challenging workout I pulled together this week for a session with my two baes and surfing buddies in Costa Rica, Adilia and Pao.
MAD TO LIVE FIT VID GROUP TRAINING
Follow the outlined circuit below and use the video. The beauty of this workout is that you can do it in your gym or your living room/garden. The essence of the session is maximising your time through HIIT and targeting multiple muscle groups and systems whilst working the anaerobic energy system. The below session comprises 8 different exercises. Each homie starts at a different station, carrying out each move for a minute before moving onto the next without a rest. After all the exercises are complete y'all can take a minute rest before repeating 2 more times! POW! Cruise to the video at the end for the full wrap up/ sweat storm! Oh yeah, and Pipeline the sausage mutt makes another appearance ;)
DYNAMIC WARM: 5 MINUTES of a mixture of squats, lunges, jacks, mountain climbers, inch worms and toe taps.
-SPIDER PIKE LUNGES
-MILITARY PRESS + PRESS UP
-TRICEP DIPS + ALTERNATING LEG RESTING ON KNEE
-2 KETTLE BELL SWINGS + BURPEE
-PULL UP + BURPEE
-SIDE KNEE RAISES
WARM DOWN: Be sure to stretch at the end of your sweat buster dudes! Hold each stretch for 30 seconds, breathing deeply into the stretch.
